The Medora Musical, an award winning two-hour, professionally produced musical extravaganza, is performed each evening in the outdoor splendor of a 2,900 seat Burning Hills Amphitheatre located in the North Dakota Badlands near Medora.
Historic Medora, adjacent to the savagely beautiful North Dakota Badlands of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, is a restored Old West cattle town. The trails through the Badlands encourage viewing the natural habitats of buffalo, wild horses, bighorn sheep, deer, elk and more.
The Medora Musical is one of the many delights offered by the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. It also offers trail rides, a world-class golf course, shopping, a children's park, unique dining, museum, information center, and the western entertainment of the Medora Musical to complete a rewarding vacation experience. Entertainment includes a multi-media presentation of Historic Medora, live Cowboy and His Horse demonstrations, horse-and-buggy rides through town, and magic and music shows. Plus golfers will enjoy the new Bully Pulpit Golf Course. Visit the Museum of the Badlands for displays and dioramas of Indian artifacts and regalia, wildlife and relics of the early western frontier days, including wax displays of Medora's legendary figures. New additions are a Lewis & Clark display and displays of the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame. The Doll House Museum is a treasure-trove of toys. A visit to the Harold Schafer Heritage Center will rekindle memories of the days of Glass Wax, Snowy Bleach and Mr. Bubble.
